Short-term continuing resolution passed Thursday evening.
On Thursday, the U.S. Senate voted to pass a short-term continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government funded past Friday’s deadline. The CR will be in effect until March 11. Federal legislators are still discussing the federal budget that covers the fiscal year that began in October 2021 and lasts through September 2022.
Members of the House of Representatives approved the short-term funding a week ago.
Prior to passing the CR, the Senate voted down amendments that called for a removal of funding for vaccine mandates and the imposition of a balanced budget.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president as he and his administration discuss federal funding with Congressional leaders.
- For members of both legislative chambers as they deliberate the national budget.
- For wisdom for economic committees and negotiators in the Senate and House of Representatives.
